A winner won $22 million grand prize from the Mega Millions drawing Friday night

Someone is celebrating in , and for good reason. A single ticket has won the grand prize from the most recent Mega Millions drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Friday night's drawing worth $22 million was purchased in . The identity of the newest millionaire has not been determined, nor has the location of the ticket purchase. The winning numbers from Friday, July 31st, 2020 drawing were 12-35-46-48-69 and the Mega Ball was 23, Megaplier was 2. The winner will have the choice of 30 annuity payments with yearly payment about $846,153.85 for the entire prize amount of $22 million, or the one-time cash option in the amount of $17.9 million before tax withholding. The grand prize winner is highly suggested to sign the ticket, place it in a safe place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
In addition to the grand prize hit on Friday, many more players walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 6 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
