No one matched all 6 numbers. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to $70 million

The jackpot for Friday Mega Millions game rolled up to $70 million (cash option $52.4 million) after no player matched all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number Tuesday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, March 3rd, 2020 were 08, 12, 33, 56, 64 with Mega Ball number 02 and Megaplier 2. The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling over for 665 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 4 lucky players won the third prize. Among them, 4 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday night included 225 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 645 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game sold in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game. It holds the record highest jackpot in North American lottery history. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
Not like other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, rather than non-jackpot prize having a fixed value. This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other 43 jurisdictons. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
