No jackpot ticket sold last night. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot leaps to $152 million

With no winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions game grand prize will be worth a projected $152 million (cash option $117.5 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Tuesday. The amount carried over because no player matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $142 million jackpot Friday night. The numbers from Friday, November 6th, 2020 drawing were 18, 24, 27, 34, 60 with Mega Ball number 02 and Megaplier 2.
While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. A total of 12 lucky players won the 3rd prize. These included 12 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 281 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 781 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,097,280 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, November 6th, 2020 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
Compared with other Mega Millions participants, all the nine prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This leads to different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is $1,000,000 could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, California state lottery doesn't offer Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
