Friday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $165 million; 2 second prize tickets sold

No one won Tuesday night's Mega Millions game drawing, worth $152 million, bringing the projected jackpot on Friday to $165 million. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $124.6 million. The numbers from Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 drawing were 23-45-53-58-62 with Mega Ball 13 and Megaplier X5. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 737 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were 2 lucky winners matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) purchased in , each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 11 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Tuesday evening included 224 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 739 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.

Mega Millions game can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
Contrary to other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a fixed value. This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winners sold in California when compared to those sold in other 43 states. As an example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery doesn't have Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
