Friday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to 256,000,000; 1 ticket won the second prize

There was no ticket sold with all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions game draw, and the estimated grand prize for Friday's drawing will move to 256,000,000, according to lottery officials. The cash value will be a projected $137.4 million. The numbers from Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 drawing were 14, 25, 38, 59, 64 and the Mega Ball was 21, Megaplier was 4.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in NY will collect a million dollar cash each.
Also, 12 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 334 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 922 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in United States lottery history. Mega Millions game uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout option instead.
