Wednesday's Powerball jackpot increases to $190 million; Two players matched the first 5 numbers

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing jumped to $190 million for the Wednesday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be $156 million up for grab. None of the tickets sold for Saturday's $180 million drawing matched five white ball numbers and the Powerball number. The winning numbers from Saturday, April 4th, 2020 drawing were 08-31-39-40-43 with Power Ball number 04.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were two second prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The one ticket(s) in North Carolina matched the first 5 white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2 million cash win! This is part of the Powerball lottery feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option pushing the prize to $2,000,000 cash. One other lucky ticket(s) sold in Arizona, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
Also, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 5 additional players not just matched 4+1, but additionally chose the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing generated 487,290 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball game uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years.
