Saturday's Powerball jackpot jumps to $60 million; One second prize ticket sold

The Powerball game grand prize has jumped up to an estimated $60 million (cash value $47.8 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over since no player hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Powerball number to take the $51 million jackpot Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 drawing were 15-28-52-53-63 and Powerball was 18.
While there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a single 2nd prize winning ticket from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in Florida will collect $1 million cash.
Also, 3 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 174 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 56 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 445 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 153 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing created 393,084 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the original winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
