Monday's Powerball jackpot leaps to 285,000,000; 7 second prize tickets sold

With no winner in the last draw, the Powerball grand prize will be worth 285,000,000 (cash option $151.2 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Monday. The amount carried over because no player hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number to win the 270,000,000 jackpot Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, September 24th, 2022 drawing were 03-09-21-24-29 and Powerball was 14. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 191 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. A single lucky player from walked away with $31.00 million jackpot in Saturday, June 12th, 2021 drawing.
Although the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were 7 second prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The 6 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in California(2), Indiana(1), Louisiana(1), Michigan(1) and New Jersey(1) will collect $1,000,000 cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from Indiana also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional major winners Saturday night included 28 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 10 additional players not only matched 4+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine different prize tiers, there were 615,087 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Saturday, September 24th, 2022 drawing.
