Nobody hit the jackpot last night. Saturday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $180 million

The grand prize in the Powerball multistate lottery game continues climbing and will be up to $180 million for the upcoming drawing on Saturday. The cash value will be a projected $144.8 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over because no player matched all six winning numbers to win the $170 million jackpot Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 drawing were 33-35-45-48-60 and Powerball was 16. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for fourteen draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. 10 third prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. These included 8 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 212 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 66 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! There were 468 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 118 additional players not just matched 3+1, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 401,650 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. To play Powerball, choose 5 numbers from a set of 69 and choose a Powerball number from a set of 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners can select one lump sum cash payout instead.
