Powerball jackpot leaps to $86 million Saturday night; One second prize ticket sold

There were no tickets sold hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in the last multi-state Powerball lottery draw, and the projected jackpot for Saturday's drawing will rise to $86 million, lottery officials announced. The cash value will be a projected $60.9 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 drawing were 07-29-36-41-43 with Power Ball number 05. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 46 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one lucky player that matched the first five numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in North Carolina, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 6 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 165 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 62 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 499 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 165 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were a total of 383,646 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 drawing.
