One ticket bought in NY won 476,000,000 Mega Millions jackpot in Friday night's drawing

One single player has won the jackpot from the latest Mega Millions game drawing. Lottery officials said the winning ticket from Friday night's drawing - worth 476,000,000 - was sold in NY. The numbers from Friday, April 14th, 2023 drawing were 23, 27, 41, 48, 51 and the Mega Ball was 22, Megaplier was 2. The winner will have the option of 30 annuity payments with annual payment about $18.31 million for the entire prize amount of 476,000,000, or the one-time cash option in the amount of $256 million before tax withholding. The grand prize winner is highly suggested to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the opportunity to select the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Besides the grand prize awarded on Friday, April 14th, 2023, Mega Millions generated more happy winners walked away with huge prizes. There were two lucky tickets correctly matched the first five white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize.
