Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot increases to $944,000,000; Five second prize tickets sold

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune will be up for grabs on Tuesday, when Mega Millions has $944,000,000 on the line. The cash value will be a projected $$429.4 million. Mega Millions' jackpot went up because no one hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number drawn Friday night. The numbers drawn Friday night, December 20th, 2024 were 02, 20, 51, 56, 67 and the Mega Ball was 19, Megaplier was 2. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 29 draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in TX, matched all six numbers for a $800 million top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. There were five second prize winners from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The five second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in AR,IL,IN(2),PA will collect a million dollar cash each.
In addition, 37 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
