The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $394,000,000

There were no Mega Millions game grand prize winners for Tuesday's $365,000,000 dollar drawing, so the jackpot will climb to $394,000,000 with the cash option at $$188.5 million Friday, February 9th, 2024. The winning numbers from Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 drawing were 02-10-31-44-57 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier X4.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were three second prize winning tickets from Tuesday night's drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers except the Mega Ball number. The three lucky ticket(s) purchased in CA,OH,PA, each won one million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 17 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 337 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. Other prizes won included 1013 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

Compared with other Mega Millions participants, all the 9 prize levels of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, as opposed to non-jackpot prize having a fixed amount. This causes different prize amounts for equivalent winning tickets sold in California when compared to those sold in other forty three jurisdictons. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery.
