The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $266,000,000

The jackpot for Friday Mega Millions climbed to $266,000,000 (cash option $$120.8 million) after no player hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number Tuesday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, January 20th, 2026 were 08, 47, 50, 56, 70 with Mega Ball number 12 and Megaplier . The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 86 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.A single lucky winner from IL walked away with $344 million grand prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 5 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize. These included 5 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

As opposed to other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are parimutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a set amount. This causes different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other 43 lotteries.
