Nobody matched all six numbers last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $59,000,000

The Mega Millions lottery grand prize increased because no player hit all six winning numbers from Tuesday night's $44,000,000 drawing. The next jackpot went to $59,000,000 for Friday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $$26.5 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 drawing were 10-19-31-47-56 and the Mega Ball was 06, Megaplier was 5.
While the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. A total of 9 lucky players won the 3rd prize. These included 9 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 186 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. 514 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

As opposed to other Mega Millions states, all the 9 prize tiers of California Mega Millions are pari-mutuel, instead of non-jackpot prize having a set amount. This results in different amounts of prize for equivalent winning tickets sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other forty three states. For example, the second Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner over $1000,000 due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery.
