The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions drawing built to $496,000,000 for the Friday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$232.6 million up for grab. No ticket sold for Tuesday's $473,000,000 drawing matched 6 winning numbers. The numbers from Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 drawing were 07, 21, 53, 54, 62 and the Mega Ball was 16, Megaplier was .
Although the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 9 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional winners Tuesday night included 193 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 504 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.

Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.

This results in different amounts of prize for equivalent winners sold in the state of California when compared to those sold in other states. For example, the 2nd Mega Millions prizes is a million dollar could pay the winner more than a million dollar due to the pari-mutuel payout system of California lottery. For the same reason, CA state lottery does not have Megaplier like other Mega Millions states.
