No jackpot ticket sold last night. Powerball jackpot rises to $116 million Wednesday

There was no ticket sold matched all 6 winning numbers in the latest multi-state Powerball game draw, and the projected grand prize for Wednesday's drawing will roll up to $116 million, according to lottery officials. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $80.6 million. The winning numbers from Saturday, April 24th, 2021 drawing were 22-36-48-59-61 and Powerball number was 22. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 125 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. A total of 12 lucky winners won the third prize. 6 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
In addition, 288 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 70 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Saturday night included 670 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 221 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing created 534,444 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, select 5 numbers from a set of 69 and pick one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which increases the winnings but not jackpot. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
