Two winners from IN and KS hit $143,000,000 Powerball jackpot

Two lucky tickets in IN(1) and KS(1) matched all 6 numbers in the Wednesday drawing and won the $143,000,000 jackpot. The numbers from Wednesday, April 29th, 2026 drawing were 03, 19, 35, 51, 67 and Powerball number was 15. The winner will have the option of annuity payments for the entire prize amount of $143,000,000, or the cash payment of $65 million before tax withholding. The jackpot winners are highly suggested to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winners have the opportunity to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner do not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Besides the jackpot hit on Wednesday, a lot more people took home with big money. There were 89 2nd prize winners from Wednesday night's drawing, matching the first five white ball numbers except the Powerball number. Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 6 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional players not only matched 4+1, and also bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing created 361,665 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
The grand prize of next Powerball lottery drawing will be an estimated $20,000,000 with the cash option at $$9.1 million for Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, choose 5 numbers from a set of 69 and select a Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the original winnings but not grand prize. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching all six Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments.
