Wednesday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $643,000,000; 2 players matched the first 5 numbers

The Powerball game jackpot has jumped up to a projected $643,000,000 (cash option $$290.6 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over since nobody hit all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to take the $605,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, August 18th, 2025 were 15, 46, 61, 63, 64 with Power Ball number 01. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 34 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a $207,000,000 top prize.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 2nd prize winning tickets from Monday night's drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The two second prize winning ticket(s) sold in AZ(1) and TX(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Other major winners Monday night included 9 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 371 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 104 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 944 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 283 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.

Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a shared jackpot game.
