Powerball jackpot jumps to $775,000,000 Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025; Three tickets matched the first five numbers

The jackpot for Wednesday Powerball lottery jumped to $775,000,000 (cash value $$362.5 million) after nobody hit all six numbers Monday night. The numbers drawn Monday night, December 1st, 2025 were 05-18-26-47-59 and Powerball was 01. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 37 draws since Monday, September 8th, 2025.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were three 2nd prize winners from Monday night's drawing, matching all five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The three second prize winning ticket(s) bought in CA(1), GA(1) and IL(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Other prizes won Monday night included 20 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 5 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Monday evening included 411 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 115 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 1042 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 297 additional players not just matched 3+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
With 9 different prize levels, the Monday night's drawing created 784,073 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout instead.
