No jackpot ticket sold last night. Powerball jackpot climbs to $240,000,000 Wednesday

There has been another carry over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball lottery - to $240,000,000. The cash value stands at $$107.4 million up for grab. The jackpot grew since nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number from Monday night's $220,000,000 drawing. The numbers drawn Monday night, January 6th, 2025 were 17, 34, 46, 66, 67 with Power Ball number 14. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for thirteen draws since Monday, December 9th, 2024. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in NY, matched all six numbers for a $260,000,000 top prize.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, some people still walked away with big money. 11 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. 1 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Additional prizes won Monday evening included 170 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 60 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! 489 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 149 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Monday night's drawing produced 389,523 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which increases the original winnings but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
