Powerball jackpot rises to $188,000,000; Three tickets matched the first 5 numbers

The Powerball lottery grand prize increased because no player matched all 6 winning numbers from Monday night's $174,000,000 drawing. The next jackpot built to $188,000,000 for Wednesday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$90.7 million up for grab. The numbers from Monday, January 29th, 2024 drawing were 39, 41, 43, 49, 64 with Power Ball 04.
While the jackpot was not hit Monday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were three lucky players that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 3 lucky ticket(s) bought in California(1), South Carolina(1) and Texas(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Monday night included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other winners Monday night included 153 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 47 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but in addition bought the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 392 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 137 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.

America's favorite Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
