Monday's Powerball jackpot increases to $165,000,000; One player won the second prize

No player won Saturday night's Powerball drawing, worth $152,000,000, bringing the projected grand prize on Monday to $165,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$83.8 million. The winning numbers from Saturday, September 14th, 2024 drawing were 29-34-38-48-56 with Power Ball number 16. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 11 draws since Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a $44,000,000 top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a single lucky player that matched all five lotto numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in CO, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 6 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 298 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers.
