The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $243,000,000

The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing climbed to $243,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The cash option will be a projected $$122.2 million. No ticket sold for Wednesday's $223,000,000 drawing hit 6 numbers. The numbers from Wednesday night, September 25th, 2024 were 02, 26, 45, 46, 52 and Powerball was 21.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were a total of 15 third prize lucky winners. There were 1 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
In addition, 207 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 74 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! There were 596 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 197 additional players not only matched 3+1, and also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine different ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing created 489,827 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball game uses a 5/69+1/26 matrix to randomly choose winning numbers. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
