No jackpot ticket sold last night. Saturday's Powerball jackpot leaps to $232,000,000

There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball lottery - to $232,000,000. The cash option stands at an estimated $$100 million. The jackpot grew because nobody hit all six winning numbers from Wednesday night's $207,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, September 9th, 2026 were 09-40-42-55-65 and Powerball number was 23. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 12 draws since Saturday, August 15th, 2026. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $1,000,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were a total of 5 3rd prize winning tickets. These included 2 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 196 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 48 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 495 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 174 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 441,607 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the prizes but not jackpot. The odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The chances of winning Powerball grand prize are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners can choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
